Christmas Parade

Once upon a time, there were three siblings. Adriana, the older sister; Iván, the middle brother; and Rony, the youngest. One day near the Christmas festivities, Adriana and Iván had to parade through the streets of their city dressed like the nativity scene. However, since her mother had to work that day, she could not go with them, but she did not want to leave Rony alone at home. Therefore, Adriana and Ivan had to take him with them.

The day of the parade had arrived. Adriana had to dress like the virgin María and Iván like the shepherd José. They had almost everything ready to leave the house, but it took Rony a long time to wake up and be prepared, so they missed the bus to their school. They had to take a taxi to be on time. And they did so; they arrived in time for the parade. This parade started in the city center and ended at the school where they studied. Everything was ready. Many children wore all kinds of costumes; some looked like angels, others like animals, and others like plants.

Adriana and Iván should be aware of Rony since he was not in the parade; he only had to walk behind them all the time. Adriana constantly looked at Rony to make sure he did not get lost. However, in the blink of an eye, Rony just disappeared. The two siblings were concerned because, at any time, they saw that Rony had gone with someone else or had taken another direction than the one in the parade. They leave the parade for a moment to search for their younger brother. While Adriana walked on the right side of the street, Ivan walked on the left. There was no sign of Rony.

As their last resource, they approached a tent where there were some firefighters to ask for help. There, they saw Rony with the firefighters, eating cake and having a good time, without noticing his siblings were too worried about him. Immediately, Adriana and Iván spoke to the people in the tent to thank them for caring for their little brother. The firefighters said they saw Rony following a man who sold balloons, so they approached him to ask whether he was alone, to which Rony replied that he was with his siblings but did not know where they were and that he would go to look for them. For this reason, they took him to their tent. The two of them calmed down, but there was still a parade to continue with.

The three siblings ran back to their positions in the parade, but this time Rony went to the front so he would not get lost again. They continued until they arrived at school, where they could rest, eat, and enjoy a Christmas event. Finally, the day was over, and it would have been much more fun if that little incident hadn't happened. Anyway, without that little accident, maybe Adriana, Iván, and Rony would have simply forgotten that day, or it would be like any other. Since then, Adriana and Iván avoided going out alone with Rony until he grew up and could be more independent.

That day,y Adriana and Ivan learned that it is not easy to take care of children, especially to go to a place with them. You must always pay close attention to where a child is or what they are doing; this will prevent any type of accident.
